East London Three Faiths Forum

About us

The East London Three Faiths Forum was formed on 15th April 2002, to promote dialogue and good relations between Christians, Muslims and Jews living in the London Borough of Redbridge and the adjoining boroughs of Barking, Newham and Waltham Forest.

For ten years regular meetings have been held in local churches, synagogues and mosques. We have discussed many topical issues of religious belief and practice, discovering where the three religious traditions share similar outlooks and where we differ. The presentations have generally been given by local priests, rabbis and imams.

The organisation is completely independent and receives no public funding.

Aims and objectives

  • To increase our understanding of all three faiths in practice and belief.
  • To promote respect for the same.
  • To build trust between members of the three faiths.
  • To show the public, through our mutual respect and understanding, that we of the three faiths can work together in harmony and trust.
  • To support each other's communities on issues of mutual concern.
